JetAudio Basic is an application developed by Cowon, a PMP (portable media player) manufacturer. This application is actually a sample of the application that could be found in their PMPs. But since it was built to be implemented in PC, additional features have become available. JetAudio may sound like an application for audio only. But the application is actually a one-stop-shop for almost any media file format. The application can play major audio and video files in just one application. The application also has the ability to convert audio files into the file format preferred by users. JetAudio even has the ability to record audio from various sources including analog sources. With the addition of audio editing tools for special effects, the application practically has everything the user needs to control media in their PCs.
But the features that could be found from JetAudio don’t stop there. The application could also be used as a CD burner. Users can simply point the files found by the application that needs to be burned on CD. It doesn’t have any DVD burning features yet, but it is already useful especially for simple burning of audio files into CD.
The downside of the application is on its complexity. Because there are too many functions available in the application, users have to be familiar with basic functions first before becoming fully comfortable with JetAudio.
The basic version of the application is the free version of the application. A pro version is available which comes with additional codecs and tools for better audio and video manipulation.

CubeVision Timer is basically what its name says – a timer. After download, the application will launch without any problem complete with interface. Although its sole function is being a timer, it’s a straightforward application that will work without any glitch. The interface is very easy to understand. The three major buttons (start, stop and reset) could be easily found and their reaction to commands is instantaneous. Another function named “ToString” is also added. This function basically allows users to export their records for future references. You can copy the records in your timer and save them in your preferred word processing document.
The application comes in three sizes: small, medium and large. But even with the variety in sizes, the small sized timer should be more than enough to help users actively monitor the timer. The large sized timer is recommended only for those who wanted to use the timer in most parts of the screen.
Although CubeVision Timer is able to do its purpose without any problem, there should have been key additions. First is the option to let the application stay on top. This should have been very helpful especially when you’re timing what you’re actively doing on your computer. The second is the required .Net Framework. While many computers already have .Net Framework installed in their computers, some who do not have the framework pre-installed will most likely look for other timer applications.
But if you already have a .Net Framework installed in your computer, the Timer by CubeVision is a great application because of its simplicity and stability.

Now before installing Windows 7, users can use Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - a free software that will examine your computers processor, memory, storage, graphics capabilities. It will then identify known compatibility issues with installed software and devices and provides tips on how to resolve those issues if possible.

Only PCs with Windows Vista can be upgraded to Windows 7. Remember Windows XP users are required to do a clean install of the Windows 7 RC as well as the final product. If you are running Windows XP and do not have .NET Framework 2.0 yet, you will be asked to download and install it.
Download Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta (English only). Remember to plug in any USB devices, and external devices like printers, external hard drives, scanners that need to be tested.
Microsoft has finally released the Windows 7 Release Candidate for use by public. Anyone can download Windows 7 RC and use it for 1 year for free. After making it available to beta testers and MSDN and TechNet subscribers, it now finally available for all.
Pre-release software - which means your PC will automatically and anonymously send their engineers data to verify the fixes on the Windows 7 Beta tests. If you are not comfortable testing software, then you can wait for the final release, but that might not be free as Windows is a paid software. However, software release candidates are usually stable and have major security and bug fixes in place.
Expires in 1 year - The RC will expire on June 1, 2010, and Windows will start nagging you with 2-hourly shutdowns starting on March 1, 2010, so you need to install a regular version of Windows before March 1, 2010.
Back up your PC - The RC could have some bugs which would be gradually found and fixed. Till then it could cause errors, PC crashes etc and they recommend never to use the RC on your primary PC, and if you have to, then learn How to back up your PC
Turn on automatic updates - via Windows Update so you can get all bug fixes and security updates for the RC.
5 languages- Windows 7 RC is available in five languages only: English, German, Japanese, French, and Spanish.
No technical support - If you run into trouble installing or running Windows 7 RC, Microsoft provides no support and you are dependant on other RC testers for support
Check System Requirements - Your PC needs 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor, 1 GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit), 16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit), DirectX 9 graphics processor with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.

Now Windows Vista users can download Microsoft Windows Vista SP2, the latest and probably the last official service pack to this Windows edition.
Earlier Microsoft had released Windows Vista SP2 Beta as part of a Customer Preview Program (CPP) launched on TechNet and was intended for technology enthusiasts, developers, and IT Pros. The Beta version was a prerelease and provided for testing only. As of April 28th, 2009 the Windows Vista SP software2 Beta program concluded.
Now the Vista service packs 2 are available for download by the public. Windows Vista SP2 is an update to Windows Vista and that supports new kinds of hardware and emerging hardware standards, and includes all updates delivered since SP1. Service Pack 1 is a prerequisite for installing Service Pack 2. Please make sure that your system is running Service Pack 1 before you install Service Pack 2. Download Windows Vista SP1 if you want to try SP2.
